Balmain & Co
Naming & Identity
Print & Digital Media
Having already made their mark as a boutique builder in Melbourne, Balmain & Co sought a transformation in the form of a rebrand, aiming to ascend to the status of an industry leader in construction. This strategic elevation of their brand would enable the team to effectively convey their distinct qualities, including unwavering commitment to quality control, a pioneering approach to innovation, and a foundation built on integrity.
Once the new name was established, our creative endeavour encompassed every touchpoint, addressing everything from on-site signage and uniforms to essential marketing collateral, such as an impressive new website and compelling business proposals. The team’s proudest achievement undoubtedly lay in their new logo, now a prominent fixture adorning cranes across the city’s skyline, a visible symbol of their growth and commitment to excellence in construction.
We crafted a robust new brand that effectively balances the youthful energy and the established expertise of Balmain & Co. The logo’s abbreviation to B&Co offered flexibility across various small-space applications, ensuring the brand’s adaptability over time. The decision to employ black and white as the primary brand colours guaranteed a timeless and easily recognisable presence in a competitive market.
We enlisted the skills of photographer James Geer to produce a series of brand images. These visuals aptly captured the brand’s essence in its natural environment, complemented by a collection of textural studies that showcased both the surroundings and the team in action.
