PROJECT OVERVIEW

Located at Melbourne Square with absolute park frontage, AURA is the next evolution of this established inner-city precinct. Launched following BLVD—one of Melbourne’s most successful residential releases during a challenging sales period—it builds on that momentum while establishing a distinctive identity of its own.

Our positioning, “A Higher State of Mind”, presents AURA as more than a place to live. It expresses the meaningful way of life created when Japanese-inspired design meets the natural beauty of Australia. Principles of balance, restraint and intention introduce calm and clarity, while warm materials, abundant light and connections to landscape bring openness, tactility and warmth.

The name AURA captures the atmosphere and energy created by this union—something intangible, yet deeply felt. This idea informed a refined, luminous identity and an atmospheric campaign language shaped around the human, natural and cultural.

Sculptural portraiture evokes wellbeing; abstract Australian landscapes reveal the inspiration behind the interiors; and artful lifestyle imagery reflects Southbank’s cultural character. Warm render art direction, tactile materials and a landscape-inspired palette unify the campaign.

The AURA Ecosystem motif brings residences, gardens, social amenity and wellness together in a single expression of balance and connection. Across every touchpoint, AURA becomes a distinctive vision of elevated living.

art direction

Positioned at the threshold of Melbourne’s Southbank Arts Precinct, AURA called for an art direction that elevated the brand into a more expressive realm.

Translating DKO’s fusion of Japanese-inspired restraint and native Australian materiality, imagery by Saskia Wilson explores the atmosphere of an aura through light, texture and emotion. Intimate macro studies are paired with expansive Australian bush landscapes, then complemented by urban imagery captured throughout Southbank and its cultural surrounds.

The 3D visualisation direction extends this narrative through warm tonality, gentle light, earthy hues and tactile finishes. Together, the renders and photography flex from serene dawn wellness moments to luxurious dusk scenes, creating an expansive, adaptable image library able to harness the distinct mood and energy of every space.

Display Gallery

Designed by DKO in collaboration with Grenade, the AURA Sales Gallery translated the project’s refined Japanese-inspired aesthetic into a meticulously crafted spatial experience. Visitors were guided through a choreographed sales journey, beginning with an interactive screen that interpreted the auras of passers-by.

Inside, a sculptural reception desk and monumental cinematic screen presented the brand film, floorplans and project renders, seamlessly connected to the interactive model. Intimate breakout spaces encouraged considered conversations, while a dramatic lightbox revealed breathtaking Level 67 views. At its heart, a bespoke central table displayed sales collateral and finish boards, bringing every element of the AURA story together.
